if you find yourself in nags head (or any of the neighboring towns) any time soon, i have the perfect place for you. mason jar details, fresh and innovative seafood dishes, southern charm, and delicious wine/cocktails all made this meal my favorite from our beach vacation. the restaurant? the brine and bottle. (thanks to olivia for the recommendation)

it was really hard to choose what dishes to order, which is a great problem to have. we went with the tuna carpaccio, clambake, shrimp & grits, and peach-blueberry cobbler (don't forget the white wine and a glass of "pickle punch" :)

everything was so well done, understated, and left us saying "this is SO good" over and over throughout the entire meal. it felt more like a charleston restaurant than anything (which is one of the best compliments in my book), and i already requested a return visit for next year. pretty please, try it out next time you're in the outer banks? you will not be disappointed.
