a big adventure

by Megan Fleiner in

Hello sweet readers! I hope you are enjoying these last days of summer... I have loved the crisp fall-like mornings we've been having this week. You might have noticed a slow-down in posts here on the blog lately. After attending the workshop in Whistler, I began thinking about why I started this blog, what it has become, and the direction I want it to take in the future. This space has been such an amazing creative outlet for me, and I truly enjoy sharing and interacting with you here. I want to make sure the recipes, photos, and stories I share are worth your time to read, and that means I will most likely not be posting every day like I used to. Quality over quantity, right? I also want to re-focus on the types of posts this blog was originally created to share - food and travel, with a bit of lifestyle thrown in to spice it up.

All of that being said... I have some exciting news... Some of you may already know this, but tomorrow morning, my parents, little brother, Ryan, and I leave for CHINA! This trip has been in the works for quite a while, and i can't believe it's actually here. We have a lot of things planned for this adventure, and I couldn't be more excited. I may be able to pop in a couple times to say hello and share some thoughts/photos, but there's a chance you won't hear from me at all over the next 10 days.

Where we are going:

Shanghai.

Xi'an.

Beijing.

A trip to the Great Wall, all the dumplings and noodles I could ever hope for, hover train rides, shopping, and immersing ourselves in what I consider one of the world's most fascinating cultures (with my 4 favorite people, no less) is what awaits. I can't wait to share it with you all when I get back.

Thanks so much for being here. I'll return soon!
